Trump starts talking in front of his 300 hamburgers. Loves McDonalds and Wendys.
President Donald Trump spoke to the press today in front of his 300 hamburgers and answered a few questions.
POTUS bragged about it being "great American food" and decided to buy a variety of fast food items for the Clemson Tigers visiting the White House.
He was asked: Which do you prefer more, Mcdonalds or Wendy's.
Trump replied: All of them!
"I think we're going to serve McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King with some pizza," the president said. "I really mean it. It will be interesting and I would think that's their favorite food."
Trump was criticized for the move and accused of buying the cheapest food available for a team that just won a National Championship.
The president paid out of his own pocket because of the government shutdown, so at least he did that.
Deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley said Trump was looking forward to the event.
“The president wanted to host a fun event to celebrate the College Football National Champion Clemson Tigers,” Hogan told CNN in a statement.
Because the Democrats refuse to negotiate on border security, much of the residence staff at the White House is furloughed -- so the president is personally paying for the event to be catered with some of everyone’s fast foods,” he said.
The Tigers beat the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide 44-16 in the College Football Playoff National Championship thus earning them the ability to go to the White House and eat Trump's cheap food.
