Trump now says he may take Hydroxychlorquine himself: "I may take it!" (VIDEO)
President Donald Trump said in his daily briefing on Saturday that he might just start taking hydroxychloroquine himself for the coronavirus, despite there being no definitive data on its effectiveness.
"I may take it. Okay? I may take it. And, I'll have to ask my doctors about that, but I may take it."
He made the statement shortly after Dr. Fauci contradicted Trump by saying there wasn't enough data of people taking a lupus drug to determine if they haven't gotten Covid-19 afterwards.
Trump came in right after this and said: "I hope they use hydrochloroquine." He adds: "What do you have to lose?"
On one hand, Trump is saying he will listen to his doctors and on the other hand he's not listening to what his top doctor is saying right in front of him.
Dr. Fauci was again upstaged by Trump after giving an impassioned talk on how important social distancing was. Trump walks up and immediately talks about how we can't wait much longer.
"But again, we're not going to destroy our country. We have to get back ... we have a big decision to make at a certain point ... the cure cannot be worse than the problem itself," Trump said.
