Trump just suggested to the world that he wants to be president forever (VIDEO)
President Donald Trump has been criticized many times over for having the personality of a dictator. And, not only that, but when the time came for him to give up power, he would refuse to do so, especially in the case of a close election.
Well, check out the video he sent out today. It was extremely odd.
It showed Trump campaign signs, spanning for as far out as you can imagine, basically forever.
To further showcase that the presidential ticket is all about him and he's not a team player, he refused just last week to give an early endorsement to Vice President Mike Pence, should he decide to run in the future.
“Well, it's — I love Mike, we are running again, you're talking about a long time, so you can't put me in that position,” Trump said. “But I certainly would give it very strong consideration. He's a very, very outstanding person.”
Only a dictator thinks like this. Maybe that's why Trump compliments North Korea leader Kim Jong Un so much.
This is why Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi says it's crucial Democrats win by a "big" enough margin to give Trump no room to contest the next election.
"We have to inoculate against that, we have to be prepared for that," Pelosi told the New York Times. She said that she was worried that Trump would try to "poison the public mind" and "challenge each of the races" if Democrats didn't win big overwhelming margins.
Trump has even joked about staying in office longer than 2 terms.
After bashing the media, Trump "jokes" about serving more than 2 terms in office. Funny how that seems to be a recurring topic for him these days. pic.twitter.com/IBtGuMkGcI— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) May 9, 2019
It used to be legal until Congress decided to amend the constitution in 1947 (ratified in 1951) to make it illegal for any person to serve longer. Future leaders of America could always try and change this.
