Trump just mocked 16-year-old Greta Thunberg for her passionate speech on climate change (VIDEO)

President Donald Trump just made fun of climate change activist Greta Thunberg, a girl who is only 16-years-old, simply because she is passionate about something affecting the planet.

On Twitter, Trump commented:

"She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!" He then showed a video of young Greta speaking at the United Nations:

”People are suffering, people are dying, entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth.”

What a snide remark for the President of the United States to make, especially towards a 16-year-old girl.

At the United Nations, Trump simply walked by her without greeting her, now he says this.

Earlier in the day, Trump complained about not winning a Nobel Peace Prize like former President Obama. "When Greta Thunberg wins one, Trump can cry about it in prison while contemplating about all the wrong choices he made in life," wrote Eugene Gu.

Instead of discussing climate change at the UN, Trump decided to talk about religious freedom, even though climate change was the main topic. He was pretty much the only one to do this.

In fact, in a further slap in the face on the subject, Trump left after only 10 minutes inside the General Assembly Hall. He then departed without saying goodbye.

This is a real problem. And the next president is going to have to address this.

A climate study in January showed the world's oceans are warming significantly faster than previously thought. Since 1970, the ocean has warmed 40% more than previous estimates.

The U.N. noted on its website describing the summit that global emissions "are reaching record levels and show no sign of peaking," and that the last four years were the the hottest recorded." And that change, the U.N. said, is beginning to have a "life-threatening impact" as it brings more air pollution, heatwaves and greater risk to food security.

Trump's administration has consistently attacked climate change. Trump himself thinks it was orchestrated by the Chinese as a "hoax." Maybe that's why he is mocking anyone passionate about it right now.
