Trump gets into a dick measuring contest with Beto O'Rourke in El Paso

President Donald Trump is telling sheriffs in El Paso, Texas that his line is bigger than Beto O'Rourke's.

It almost sounds like we've heard this same story before.

Trump is referring to the line of people waiting to see his event, where he is giving a speech after making a visit to the town on Monday.

Potential 2020 presidential contender Beto O'Rourke, who hasn't officially announced his intentions yet, supposedly has a "tiny, little line" in comparison according to the Commander-in-Chief.

Related: While speaking to the same group of more than a dozen sheriffs, Trump continually repeats the same lie: "We’re actually building a big, big portion of the wall today."

As of right now, there is no evidence of this. While that would be an interesting development, Trump's past claims on this have proven to be untrue. The only thing that is happening are repairs on current fencing, which is a big difference.

El Paso's mayor is also speaking out against other false claims by Trump. Mayor Dee Margo says it is simply wrong to claim that the border barrier was responsible for El Paso's drop in crime, a key reason Trump is visiting the city, to try and bolster that same claim.

"The president is wrong," Margo said.
