Trump distancing himself from Rudy Giuliani now, essentially throws him under the bus (VIDEO)

President Donald Trump is now claiming for the first time that he did not direct his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, to go to Ukraine for him and dig up dirt on potential 2020 challenger and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Trump spoke with former Fox News personality Bill O'Reilly on his radio show and made the comment.

This could be considered Exhibit A in Trump's upcoming impeachment trial.

O'Reilly: What was Giuliani doing in Ukraine on your behalf?

Trump: "Well, you have to ask that to Rudy, but Rudy....I don't even know...I know he was going to Ukraine, and I think he canceled the trip but uhh, Rudy has other clients other than me. I'm one person."

O'Reilly: So, you didn't direct him to go there on your behalf?

Trump: No.

This brings up memories of when Trump was asked aboard Air Force One whether he knew about the Stormy Daniels hush money payments early in his presidency and he said "you need to ask Michael Cohen," and "no."

This is another reason, we think, Giuliani is refusing a Congressional subpoena to testify. He'll simply implicate President Trump and himself if he does.

Giuliani has hinted that he has "insurance" should the president ever turn on him and even stipulated that in an interview on Fox not long ago.

Fox: Have you met or talked with Trump?

Giuliani: "I do not discuss my conversations with my client. You can assume I talked to him early and often. I have a very, very good relationship with him and all of these comments, which are totally insulting, I mean, I've see things like he's going to throw me under the bus. When they say that, he isn't but I have insurance."
