Trump corrects Melania in front of everyone for revealing her New Years Resolution to reporters (VIDEO)
First Lady Melania Trump was asked what her New Years Resolution was while the Trump's were partying it up at Mar-a-Lago. She replied: "Peace on the world."
Sounds fair enough.
President Trump, however, thought he'd correct her in front of everyone.
"Peace is right but I'm not sure you're supposed to say a resolution out loud." He then continued: "So, I don't want to say what my resolution is, because I think we jinx it, alright?"
He then told the reporters what their resolution really was, as if Melania wasn't allowed to have her own opinion. But, he refused to reveal what it was exactly, preferring to speak ambiguously. "It's a good resolution, it's a resolution for our country. We love our country. Our country has never done better than it's doing right now."
Melania tried her best to keep smiling for the cameras, even though he basically just told the world that she shouldn't have said that out loud.
It wasn't long after this where you could tell she appeared to be uncomfortable continuing to stand by his side like a lap dog not being allowed to say anything.
The world noticed, too.
"Peace on Earth" is literally a Christmas staple. How can anyone mess this phrase up?! What's next, "Joy to the Planet"? "Quiet Night"?"
"Umm, resolutions are NOT birthday wishes. You can: - say them out loud - tell them to others - write them down."
"That's a wish not a resolution. Unless it's to get her husband out of office. That's a resolution."
It's the day after New Years, most people are back to their regular schedules and Trump's official schedule still shows him being on vacation at Mar-a-Lago away from Washington D.C. instead of working.
He has no events on his calendar except for going to the Trump International Golf Cub for almost 5 full hours.
It was reported that Trump spent 1 out of every 5 days at a golf club last year. He's starting the New Year the same way he ended 2019.
