Trump attacks military veteran on Memorial Day even though he never served a single day in uniform

President Donald Trump just attacked a military veteran on Memorial Day, referring to him as an "American fraud."

Trump made the statement against U.S. Congressman Conor Lamb, a former active duty U.S. Marine and current Major in the Reserves, while voicing his support for Sean Parnell, who is currently running against him in Pennsylvania's 17th District.

"Sean Parnell is an American Hero. Connor Lamm has proven to be an American fraud, and a puppet for Crazy Nancy Pelosi. He said he would NOT vote for her for Speaker, and did. Will kill 2A. Voted to impeach (on nothing).  A TOTAL & COMPLETE Sean Parnell Endorsement!"

Trump didn't even spell the veteran's name right.

Let the record reflect that Trump nor anyone in his immediate family has ever served a day in the military. In fact, it was reported that President Trump's father was given a "favor" by a New York podiatrist to say that he had bone spurs in order to avoid the Vietnam War. He avoided the draft many times with this same excuse.

Mr. Lamb insists that Trump and the candidate he supports are simply "lying" about his record. He also claims that he is promising not to vote for Pelosi as speaker, contrary to what Trump just said. That hardly makes him her "puppet."

Earlier in the day, Trump gave a speech in an attempt to honor Memorial Day, but had a little trouble with this word salad:

"They did not retreat...they stared down the invasion. And, they held....that they had to endure. The fact is that they held like nobody could have held before. They held this fort."
