Trump And His Family Are About To Get 'Hit Hard' In Investigation

ABC News has just released a whirlwind report based on sources they're hearing close to Michael Cohen's attorneys Stephen Ryan and Todd Harrison of the Washington and New York firm, McDermott, Will & Emery LLP.

According to them, Cohen is "likely" to flip on President Trump and members of his family, as well as others.

In addition to this, they are expecting Cohen's attorneys to "not represent him going forward."

"Cohen is likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors in New York," sources with ABC News said. They further stated: "This development, which is believed to be imminent, will likely hit the White House, family members, staffers and counsels hard."

Right now, Cohen has not announced any replacement counsel to fill their place. That would leave him without legal representation in the case.

The news comes as Cohen's attorneys were having trouble meeting the deadline to review some 3.7 million documents of seized evidence, several of those very sensitive in nature and possibly containing privileged information between Cohen and Trump.

Cohen has been Trump's "fixer" for decades now - there's no telling the sheer amount of information he has against Trump.

UPDATE: CNN has just verified that Cohen has split from Trump's legal team, verifying the ABC report.

CNN further stated that the deal for a new attorney has not yet been finalized. At this point there aren't much details.

Cohen has been considering a change for attorney for awhile now, though, sources close to the media outlet say.

Here's some context: Cohen could be preparing for an indictment which would help explain the switch of attorneys. And, it could explain why he is looking to make a deal.

Trump's power to pardon would not apply to state or local charges, only federal. That could have a play in whether or not Cohen decides to speak up.
