Truckers honk their horns and disrupt Trump's press conference in protest (VIDEO)

Truckers nearby protested President Trump's press conference so badly at the White House on Friday that he had to lie and claim they were honking in favor of him, which clearly there weren't.

“Those are truckers that are with us all the way. They’re protesting in favor of President Trump, as opposed to against, and that’s a sign of love, not the sign of your typical protest, so I want to thank our great truckers. They like me, and I like them. We’re working on something together,” Trump said.

In fact, Truckers were protesting low freight rates that are so low they can barely make a living now.

“This is our distress call to our commander in chief to address the problems we are facing,” Rick Santiago, who organized the protest, told The Washington Post. “He has called us heroes — his heroes need his help now.”

These horns were not in support of Trump, not at all. The noise got so loud at times that the president could barely continue on with his press conference.

Trump promised the truckers two weeks ago that he would do everything he could to help them but so far they have lost faith, apparently.
