The White House accidentally sends "damage control email" to Democrats and is now demanding it be 'recalled'
The Trump administration sent talking points to the wrong email address today in a major screw up.
According to two sources, Politico's Andrew Desiderio, and the Washington Posts Jacqueline Alemany, the White House emailed Democratic lawmakers with the headline “What you need to know.”
At first glance, this might sound like a sharp retort to Democrats, but the talking points were damage control against Democrats. They outlined exactly how Republicans should spin the release of Trump's phone transcript with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This is the last place the White House wanted to send this email to.
You can read the talking points for yourself. They're pretty long and well thought out. Too bad they don't cover the fact that Trump tried to use the presidency to win another election in his favor.
This incident could get him impeached and they do this?
What's also funny about the incident, is that the White House tried to recall the message using its systems but that effort failed.
The message was from a Tori Symonds. Her LinkedIn shows her official title as "White House Director of Government Communications" and she has been working in the Executive Office of the President for over 1 year and 6 months.
She also has been listed as a "Special Assistant to the President" for the last 6 months so it looks like she received quite the promotion.
We wonder how long Trump will keep her in the role after he learns about this.
Don't beat yourself up too much, Tori. This White House has done worse.
