Sarah Palin's husband just filed for divorce because he finds it "impossible" to live with her
Sarah Palin's husband has just officially filed for divorce from the former vice presidential candidate.
Todd Palin, 55, cites an “incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife” in his filing with the Anchorage Superior Court, according to the Anchorage Daily News.
The two have been married for 31 years.
The filing asks for joint custody of their minor son Trig Palin.
Sarah Palin has largely been silent from politics since becoming John McCain's running mate more than a decade ago.
She recently spoke out publicly against the Republican Party after McCain's funeral, after she didn't even receive an invite to the service.
“I was kind of surprised to be publicly dis-invited to the funeral,” she said, calling it an “unnecessary step." She said that they “didn’t have to embarrass me and embarrass others.”
Palin thought she would be allowed to go, given the fact that she was McCain's Vice-Presidential pick, and all.
"Oh, and it wasn't just me! There were other good people back in our campaign back in 2008 who were very, very loyal to Senator McCain and worked for him for many years and they weren't invited to the funeral. So that was all weird. I hope that doesn't happen to other people. It's all unnecessary. It's kind of a gut punch."
She was also asked how the whole experience was for her back in 2008, saying she was "attacked" while running as the first VP woman on a Republican ticket.
"There are so many snakes in the Republican Party....I was a scapegoat." She repeated the line again: "There's still a lot of snakes in the Republicans Party and politics in general."
She says that she would take the running mate spot again "in a heartbeat."
