Pelosi: The President doesn't know jack. They're slumlords (VIDEO)

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is going after President Donald Trump's recent comments on Baltimore, saying that the president's own son-in-law is a "slumlord" in the city.

Pelosi was actually born and raised in Baltimore so she took Trump's attacks on the city personally.

"The president — this comes as no surprise — really doesn't know what he's talking about," Nancy Pelosi said. "But maybe you could ask his son-in-law, who is a slumlord there, if he wants to talk about rodent infestations."

Jared Kusher owns more than a dozen apartment complexes in Baltimore County and has been cited for hundreds of code violations in servicing his tenants. It's awkward for Trump to go after the city in such a way when his own son-in-law has been accused of providing substandard housing.

Trump was told about Pelosi's comments and wasn't too thrilled by what she said about him and his family.

Here's Trump when asked if he thinks Kushner bears some responsibility for the conditions of the city:

"No, I think the people who run Baltimore for so many years," then he started mentioning Rep. Elijah Cummings again.

While it's true that the leaders of the city need to get a handle on things that still doesn't excuse being a slumlord landlord.

An investigation by the New York Times and Pro Publica showed that Kushner's properties had mouse infestations, mold problems and maggots. A private investigator in 2017 even agreed that the managers of the property were, in fact, "slumlords."
