McCain's Daughter Just Delivered The Best Line Of The Century Right Into The Heart Of Donald Trump
If you're not watching the late Senator John McCain's memorial service today, you might want to reconsider. At least watch his daughter, Meghan McCain's eulogy of him. It was a spell-bounding speech.
The entire speech needs to be watched - and it would be a disservice to claim that any one part of the speech was better than other parts - but the moment McCain's daughter delivered an epic line directed at the sitting president Donald Trump, and his popular campaign slogan "Make America Great Again" the entire Cathedral packed with thousands of people, including the millions watching - started clapping.
Here's what she said:
"America has no need to be made great again, because America was always great."
We have the funny suspicion that sound bite is going to be played over and over again. Here were more great memorable parts of her speech:
"John McCain was not defined by prison, by the Navy, by the Senate, by the Republican Party or by any single one of the deeds in his absolutely extraordinary life. John McCain was defined by love."@MeghanMcCain's full tribute to her father - Part 1. pic.twitter.com/XJr5pyKHzE— Fox News (@FoxNews) September 1, 2018

In eulogy, an emotional Meghan McCain cherishes the lessons her father taught her: "For the rest of my life, whenever I'd fall down, I'd get back up, whenever I am hurt I drove on, whenever I am brought low—I rise." https://t.co/qPSvgqGwxJ pic.twitter.com/jdM1btKQ1Y— ABC News (@ABC) September 1, 2018
You can watch the entire speech here:
Meghan was the first to give a speech at Senator McCain's memorial service and while it is still ongoing as of this writing - former Senator Joe Lieberman was the next to stand up at the podium, and two former U.S. President's are set to go next - we doubt any of them, including President Obama will top this one today.
