Legendary Watergate reporter: Trump is now cornered. Offenses looking at impeachment (VIDEO)

Carl Bernstein, the widely-renowned Watergate reporter, says that President Trump is now cornered into a box for the first time in his life, and not only that but things are looking at impeachment.

"He is boxed in by Mueller and the people around him know that he is and it's on the question of ... possible collusion with Russia and unquestionably a massive obstruction of justice that is now demonstrable for all to see, led by the president of the United States to cover up whatever the dealings of himself, his family, his aides were with Russia," Bernstein told CNN's "Reliable Sources" Sunday.

Bernstein made the comments after several bombshell legal filings by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team.

"It certainly looks like they are the kind of offense that would call for impeachment hearings into the conduct of the president of the United States," Bernstein said.

"There's something much more important than just impeachment going on and that is the fact that Donald Trump for the first time in his life was cornered."

The filings by Mueller even have Donald Trump Jr. taking a hunting trip to Canada.

Vanity Fair reported two days ago, on the day of the Mueller filing, that “Don is very worried." They think the bomb’s coming this week, and he doesn’t want to be anywhere near a microphone if the bomb drops,” the source said.

Trump Jr. might have lied to Congress concerning his dad's involvement in the Russia scandal, among other things.

Right now, all we have are documents released by prosecutors with the reference "individual-1," which everyone in the mainstream media is referring to as Trump. The hammer is dropping. It's been pulled out of the bag and shown to everyone. It just hasn't dropped, yet.
