Kellyanne Conway: It's unconstitutional to 'embarrass' Trump with impeachment (VIDEO)
White House aide and close adviser Kellyanne Conway thinks its unconstitutional for Democrats to be having a formal impeachment inquiry right now.
It's "complete nonsense" she said. "They need to get a messaging meeting and they need to read the constitution of the Democratic Party."
That's an odd thing for her to say because there is no constitution for the Democratic Party.
"Americans, the Congress, they work for you," Conway continued. "And they're wasting your money and your time trying to impeach a president where there are no high crimes and misdemeanors. Stop the nonsense of harassing and embarrassing this president and the people around him when you have no constitutional or legal basis to do so."
Of course, Kellyanne and this administration had no trouble with the federal government spending millions of dollars to try and investigate Hillary Clinton. Trump has talked about opening up a probe into one of his potential 2020 challengers even.
There's nothing wrong with the House Judiciary Committee investigating in the exact same fashion Republicans have always done against Democratic presidents.
Chairman Jerrold Nadler is hoping to get "an aggressive set of hearings" starting on Tuesday that will go well beyond the corners of the Mueller Report.
“The conduct under investigation poses a threat to our democracy. We have an obligation to respond to this threat.”
