Hillary Clinton just put Rudy Giuliani in his place after he accused her of being "crooked"
President Donald Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani has been working the television interviews overtime over the last several days, attempting to distract from the Ukraine phone call and impeachment talk.
He even had to recently hire an attorney of his own, and is equally at risk now, along with other officials like Secretary of State Mile Pompeo, who was on the call.
After Giuliani accused her and the Clinton Foundation today of being "crooked," and complaining (erroneously) that she and other top Democrats don't get enough scrutiny, she just couldn't hold back. And, we don't blame her.
Everyone knows that Clinton is one of the most scrutinized public figures in history. Even more so than Trump. We say that because despite all his negative fanfare and investigations into him, he has never had to sit in front of a grueling 11-hour interrogation by Congress. She held her own with the best of them and after all of it, Republicans still had nothing.
If you're bored one day, perhaps you can watch it all.
Giuliani attorney Jon Sale, who was an assistant prosecutor on the legal team investigating the Watergate scandal, must not have advised him to be silent. If he did, Giuliani hasn't been listening. He still continues to talk.
He's been talking so much that House Democrats just had to subpoena him.
The Intelligence, Oversight and Foreign Affairs — are now requiring Giuliani produce all text messages, phone records and other communications related to the “scheme” he is accused of “in order to determine the full extent of this effort by the President and his Administration to press Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 presidential election.”
He likes to throw Clinton's name out there because it is a distraction.
Giuliani is staying mostly mum on if he'll actually cooperate which could in itself be considered obstruction of justice. You can bet he'll play every legal and political game to get out this. He says he might if Rep. Adam Schiff resigns, but we all know that's a non-starter and will never happen.
"Schiff is in no position to sit in judgement. His lying is almost daily. His performance a disgrace. You really can’t expect anyone to cooperate with his Committee with such a dishonest, rabid partisan as Chairman. There is not even a pretense of fairness," Giuliani railed a few days back.
Giuliani and Trump are simply stalling for more time. They say they demand to know the identity of the whistleblower before they do anything, which is simply a way to drum up information about them to hurt their credibility. It's an ugly game that is being played.
Meanwhile - Clinton is showing that she's not afraid to hit back in the media. She made a series of public appearances and says that she doesn't believe another four years of Trump will happen.
