GOP Congressman Trips All Over Himself Trying To Defend Double Standard For Obama/Trump (VIDEO)

MSNBC host Chris Hayes did a masterful job getting Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) to trip all over himself on live television, after he showed him a video of his past comments concerning former President Barack Obama meeting with Cuban dictator Raúl Castro.

Hayes wanted to know why it wasn't okay for Obama to sit at the same table as a dictator but it was fine for Trump to do so.

"Do you understand why people feel like there is some bad faith and double standard here?" Hayes asked Zeldin.
Zeldin then offered a really poor excuse, saying that the Cuban people "have long been oppressed."

Hayes shot back: "So have the North Koreans."

"Except here with regards to Cuba, we were making dozens of concessions, and not getting the reciprocation," Zeldin said.

Trump also gave Kim Jong Un dozens of concessions.

Zeldin at this point appeared very uncomfortable and Hayes noticing that he had already won the argument eventually backed off after pressing him on it a few more times, only getting the same kind of non-answer.

This was a beauty to watch:
